Information Technology in Electronics Research Center

With an experience of over 30 years, the Information Technology in Electronics Research Center (ITEC) of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca has been actively involved in advanced research, development, and innovation at the intersection of electronics, information technology, and embedded systems. The center brings together academic staff and researchers with strong expertise in hardware and software co-design, embedded and real-time systems, signal processing, control systems, power electronics, and applied informatics, addressing both fundamental and applied research challenges. Through close collaboration with industry partners, national and international research institutions, and participation in competitive research projects, the center contributes to the transfer of knowledge and technology toward practical applications in automotive systems, industrial automation, energy systems, and intelligent electronic solutions. At the same time, the research center plays an essential role in supporting higher education by integrating research outcomes into teaching activities and by mentoring undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in a research-driven academic environment.
